Pile Driving Fitter/Welders Needed

Local 1846 has a standing call for certified welders to perform work for a UBC signatory contractor in and around the New Orleans area.

Job hours vary depending on job placement. Most jobs are 6 to 7 days a week working 10 to 12 hour days. Overtime after 40.

There is a need for qualified UBC members — Carpenters, Millwrights, Welders and Pile Drivers of all classifications — who are willing to work in and around the New Orleans area.

The average Union/UBC carpenter's wage in the Gulf States is $19+ per hour, millwrights average $20+.
